... that awkward moment when you remember you had the modern version of a personal diary that you'd forgotten about.
Okay.
About that. I've always thought it's a bit ironic, that people before were so secretive about their private stuff and kept their diaries under lock and key, and someone peeping into your diary could trigger some sort of anticipated Apocalypse or something.
And today we so gladly disclose our innermost secrets to the least private thing EVER, the internet, AND NO ONE CARES!
It's so funny. And so sad. So 21st century.
Yeah. Privacy is a weird issue nowadays. My opinion is that as time goes by, people will just forget that something called 'privacy' ever existed. We'll just take for granted that we are entitled to know everything about everyone, and information will just be... open, free, and denying someone information will come to be seen as a wrong.
Huh. I do think we're going that way, and it's kind of scary.
Well, no, it's very scary.
And I'm not only talking about social networks, although they have the leading role in this spiraling down into madness. It's just a general attitude, a way of living.
Instead of asking people stuff, we look them up on the internet.
I don't know. It has its advantages, of course, as everything does in life, but I'm still more scared about the implications than awed. Because if you lose your privacy, you gradually lose your freedom as well. Your acts become only... stuff that can be expected.
Dunno :/
I'll go to bed, I think. Enough nonesense for today.
Ha det bra!
(that's norwegian!! :D)
